Patron Notice

We'll be closed on July 4th (Friday).
We'll be on our regular schedule from July 5th.
Have a great independence day!

Also, we'd like to let you know about Menu change.
Due to the rapid rising food cost, we have to raise prices (just a bit ;-) on some of the dishes we serve. We are really sorry to do this, but it is necessary to alleviate this unexpected cost increase.

Menu change would occur early July.
Thank you for your understanding!

Can we be your Valentine?

We are accepting limited number of reservations for Valentine's Day (Thursday, February 14th).
If you are interested, please call us after 2 PM at 718-260-8052.

Did you know that in Japan, we celebrate Valentine's Day in kind of opposite way?
For Japanese, Valentine's day is the opportunity for a woman to tell her feelings by giving chocolate to the man she likes. Also, woman is expected to give chocolates to male co-worker -- this is called "Giri-choko (obligation Chocolate -- we are expected to do so many things.... Phew...)." So, in Japan, you can see long lines at the chocolate stores right now!

At Hibino, we'll be serving Special Chocolate Desert!
See you ;-)

HOLIDAY CLOSINGS!

We’ll be closed from
December 30th through January 6th.

We'll re-open on January 7th, 2008.

We'll be closed for the first week of January to celebrate "osho-gatsu (traditional Japanese New Year)." Some of us actually would be in Japan :-)

Thank you for supporting Hibino.
This was our opening year, and had some challenging moments.
But we have been encouraged by the people in the neighborhood and all the guests who came to eat at our place. When we saw people leaving our place with smile, it made our heart warm. We'll keep trying hard, so please come to Hibino in coming year, too ;-)

Liquor License Update 2

If everything goes well, we'll be serving alcohol from Friday.
I'll re-post and confirm this on Friday.

This is our business lawyer, Glenn Wright.

He helped our lease negotiation, corporate set up, and yes, liquor license!
He is a very nice guy, and talk like a real person.
He also used to live in Cobble Hill area. (What a coincident!)
We totally recommend him for your small business needs.

The Wright Law Firm

As many of you already know, we had a very small capital to start our restaurant. So (though his fee was reasonable) legal fee was a big deal for us. But we thought it'll cost more down the road if we didn't have a proper legal help to set up our business.
Glenn made everything easier for us, so we could concentrate on setting up the restaurant.
Thank you, Glenn!

Join the Test Drive!

We are not "officially" open yet.
But this weekend, we are open for "Test Drive."
We are serving limited menu.
Our space is not quite done yet.
Our service could be a bit bumpy.

Today, we had a small number of people came in for the ride.
We'll be open for tomorrow, from 6:30 PM to 10 PM.
(In regular schedule, we'll be closed on Sundays)
Our liquor license is still pending. So please BYO for the mean time.
